DYNAFIT Test Center | winter 24/25

Ski tour trips with experienced instructors

Ski touring is a marvellous fusion of downhill skiing and hiking which gains more and more popularity every single year. Just imagine… You’re free, surrounded by forests, feasting your eyes on the beauty of the peaks all covered in snow. That’s ski touring in a nutshell. Our newly opened DYNAFIT Test Center will teach you all that you must know about the equipment and the technique you should choose depending on the terrain you are touring.

Our trainings are in fact happy trips conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. Once the trip is over, we are always at your disposal, most happy to answer any questions and clear any doubts you might have.

Who’s the target group of the trainings?

Ski touring and training are NOT learning to ski. Each outing ends with a descent along our routes (usually the blue route No. 3). It is not possible to take the chairlift from Kopa Zbójnicka or Skrzyczne. The tour participant MUST have basic skiing skills and perform well at least on the blue ski runs.

On average, it takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours to get to the top, depending on the condition of the participants. Usually, 4 hours are enough to reach the top of Skrzyczne at a calm, almost walking pace (with short breaks), enjoy the views and ski down back to the valley.

Note: However, we do not guarantee reaching the summit. In the event of deterioration of weather conditions or insufficient condition of the participants, the instructor has the right to turn the group back so that they can return to the DYNAFIT ski touring center by 13:00. We adjust the pace of the trip to the slowest participant.

How to dress?

A ski tourer's outfit should consist of several layers, which allows you to easily adapt the outfit to the prevailing conditions. Each layer should be made of breathable materials that do not retain moisture. Thin gloves and a thin cap to use during the ascent are also useful. Remember that high and thick ski socks protect your feet from blisters and abrasions.

What to take with you?

  • Backpack (20-30 liters) – large enough to fit the jacket in which you will be skiing. During the ascent, we recommend light, non-breathable clothing (e.g. fleece, sweatshirt or thin jacket with a windstopper).
  • Thermos with water or warm tea.
  • Small snacks (energy bars, banana, chocolate, etc.).
  • Cap – one thin for ascent (e.g. under a helmet or balaclava), the other thicker for downhill.
  • Buff –multifunctional neck gaiter.
  • Extra pair of gloves – can be thicker for use while skiing.
  • Sunglasses (or goggles for the descent).
  • Payment card or cash – they will be useful to buy a meal or drinks in the PTTK shelter in Skrzyczne.
  • Phone – in good weather, you can take a lot of photos and quickly share them on social media.
