Szczyrk Starts Spinning Again! Experience the Spectacular Ride from Hala Skrzyczeńska – Introducing the Salamandra Alpine Coaster
At the very beginning of this year’s summer holiday season, Szczyrk Mountain Resort will unveil what is set to become its biggest attraction. The Salamandra Alpine Coaster is the most advanced year-round alpine coaster in the Beskid Mountains, promising an exhilarating dose of adrenaline, breathtaking scenery, and safe, unforgettable fun for the whole family.
The new attraction has been built on the site of a former ski lift infrastructure, with its starting point located on the picturesque Hala Skrzyczeńska. Thrill-seekers can look forward to an exceptionally dynamic track stretching approximately 750 meters. The ride is a true rollercoaster of emotions: the sleds initially race just above the forest floor before soaring as high as 15 meters above the ground. The route features plenty of exciting highlights, including spectacular 360-degree and 720-degree spirals, as well as a series of twisting turns and winding curves.
Speed Under Control, Views Beyond Compare
Although the Salamandra Alpine Coaster can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, every rider can adjust the pace according to their own preference using an individual braking system. As a result, the experience can be either an adrenaline-filled adventure or a relaxed scenic journey—arguably the most spectacular gravity-powered ride in the entire Beskid region.
The two-person sleds, inspired by the colors and design of the mountain salamander, provide the perfect experience for families and couples alike. The track was designed and built by Wiegand, the internationally recognized leader in alpine coaster technology, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Safety at the Highest Level
The creators of the attraction have paid attention to every detail:
- Safety belts cannot be physically unfastened during the ride.
- An intelligent traffic control system automatically maintains safe distances between sleds, completely eliminating the risk of collisions on the track.

HH Air completes the lineup! Szczyrk Mountain Resort is ready to kick off the season with its full trail network.
Joining the crew is HH Air, the last of the planned trails, which will be open to riders starting May 15. With that, the season in Szczyrk shifts into full gear, offering as many as six diverse trails — from smooth flow lines and natural singletracks to sections designed for catching air.

ZBÓJ JOINS THE CREW!
Wild. Natural. Technical. That’s exactly what ZBÓJ is all about — a trail joining the lineup this weekend and instantly showing its claws.
Starting from Małe Skrzyczne, you’ll know from the very first meters that this is no mellow flow trail. The upper section serves up open mountain exposure, but then the vibe changes completely… ZBÓJ drops into dense forest terrain, following a narrow, twisty singletrack all the way to the start of Otik. Roots, technical corners, tight sections, and small jumps keep you fully focused from top to bottom.

Opening of Szczyrk Bike Park by TREK
Although winter conditions can still be seen in the mountains in some places, we’ve got news that will definitely heat things up ahead of the upcoming season!
Bike Park opening on May 1st!
The start of the season at the Bike Park is getting closer! On May 1st, we officially open the cycling season in Szczyrk. At the beginning, the following trails will be available to riders:
✅ HH Flow - the lower section is undergoing a major rebuild. Brand-new jump features will be added, turns will have larger radii, and the flow of the ride will be even better!

What’s next?
The following trails still need a little more time before opening: ✅ HH Air & ✅ Zbój - the highest trails in the Bike Park. Above Hala Skrzyczeńska, winter conditions are still present, which is delaying their opening. However, we are working intensively to prepare them for you as soon as possible and in the best possible condition.
