About the Resort

Welcome to Szczyrk Mountain Resort – the largest ski resort in Poland

Szczyrk Mountain Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Poland. Situated in the Beskid Śląski mountain range, on the slopes of Małe Skrzyczne (1211 m) and Wierch Pośredni (1000 m), it is perfect for tourists from the Silesian and Lesser Poland conurbation as well as for the southern neighbours from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The resort has over 23 km of various pistes, including 5 floodlit ones, which allows every fan of winter sports to find something to their liking. Thanks to cooperation with the Polish Central Sport Centre and the Beskid Sport Arena, the resorts' clients can use a joint ski pass for 40 km of pistes.

Szczyrk Mountain Resort is currently at its first stage of modernization and, since the 2017 season, it has a new 10-person gondola lift and two 6-person chairlifts. In the forthcoming 2018/2019 season, another 6-person chairlift will be ready on Zbójnicka Kopa. It will enable easy movement of people between the Szczyrk Mountain Resort and the Central Sport Centre on Skrzyczne. The completely new-built artificial snow-making system with a large tank of 100 000 m3 (the size of 40 Olympic swimming pools) on Hala Skrzyczeńska feeds water to 368 snow lances and guns.

Also the slopes and pistes have been modified. They have been widened and profiled to make their use more pleasurable. The heart of the resort is in its new centre: SZCZYRK-GONDOLA. The big multifunctional building with ticket offices, information centre, ski rental, shop and left-luggage office is situated near the bottom station of the 10-person gondola lift. There is also a large car part for about 700 cars, an Apres Ski bar and Restaurant Kuflonka at Hala Skrzyczeńska.

2018 was the first year in the history of the centre when it was also open in the summer, which was all due to the to gondola lift carrying tourists to the Beskidy Mountains trails, taking them to Skrzyczne and Malinowska Skała. That was the time when first ideas to make this place more attractive emerged and so, in the spring of 2019, the construction of enduro type bike trails, similar to those situated on the slopes of Kozia Góra and Szyndzielnia in Bielsko-Biała, started. The Szczyrk Enduro Trails by TREK complex was officially opened in August and it immediately became extremely popular among cyclists. Presently, new sections of trails are being designed to complement the several kilometre long ones that have already been in use. Trails of varying grades of difficulty have become liked by both the experienced riders and the beginning mountain bikers. That is because you do not need to be in a top excellent shape to walkl to where the routes start since each of them is accessible by a modern cable car.

In July 2019, the longest Szczyrk-based cable car service offering a picturesque travel to Zbójnicka Kopa and a yellow walking trail starting at the parking lot near the cable car station and leading in the same direction were launched.
